Pamela Hossick, Junior 1
Following her MA (Hons) degree in Music from the University of Aberdeen, Mrs Hossick considered teaching as a career after she spent time working with a dance school as their musical director. “I found the experience of training youngsters in my subject was both exciting and challenging” recollected Mrs Hossick.
After a varied career, teaching in both primary and secondary education, as well as freelance work, Mrs Hossick joined the music department at Lathallan in 2008 where she taught throughout the nursery, Junior and Senior school. In 2012 Mrs Hossick moved to a post in the Lower School and has taught J1 since, as well as continuing to teach music in the nursery and to J1-4.
“Before I joined Lathallan I was a freelance Early Years music specialist, running weekly classes for parents and infants. When the opportunity arose to teach full time in the Lower School I was eager to take on the challenge. I enjoy every aspect of my job and my background in music education compliments all aspects of the Early Years curriculum.
Lathallan offers children a unique breadth of experience that I have not seen in other schools. Not only do we have a fantastic environment to explore and enjoy, but the atmosphere within the whole school is like that of a large family.”
