SPORTS
Every week day the pupils play some form of sport. From Monday to Thursday the girls take part, according to the season, in netball, hockey, tennis and rounders. The boys play rugby, hockey and cricket. On Friday there are swimming lessons from Pre-Prep 1(P1) through to Form 6 (S1). A swimming gala is held at the end of the academic year at the swimming pool in Stonehaven. Montrose pool is also used on a regular basis. From Form 3 upwards the pupils participate in matches against other schools, these are normally played on a Wednesday and the occassional Saturday. Parents are very welcome to come and support the children whether here at Lathallan or if the match is being held away sometimes as far afiled as Edinburgh, perth or at Gordonstoun in the North. Traditional afternoon tea is held for parents in the Drawing after the match with visitors while the pupils have 'match tea' in the dining room. There is an opportunity for our pupils to take part in WOSPS (West of Scotland Prep Schools) hockey and for the boys to take part in WOSPS rugby.
In addition to the sports mentioned above, football and cross-country running and athletics are popular and pupils take part in matches and competitions in all sports.
