Trips and Exchanges
As part of a truly rounded Lathallan education, there are many opportunities for our pupils to take part in trips and exchanges. Travel, the chance to learn new skills and make new friends are all integral to the ethos of our trips and exchange programmes. The programmes are refreshed on an annual basis, with new trips and opportunities being offered every year.
Recently we have seen a Senior Geography trip to Iceland where pupils discovered the unique geography and landscape of the country, as well as learning about the history and culture of the island.
There is a biennial skiing trip to Austria, open to Junior and Senior pupils. This allows pupils from complete novices to advanced level skiers to develop their skills in fun and fully supervised surroundings.
Every year there is an opportunity for S6 pupils to take part in a volunteering trip to South Africa. This involves working on the Samara Game Reserve to rehabilitate land, and well as spending time at the local Vuyani Orphanage to help improve their buildings and gardens.
Younger pupils are not forgotten about, with trips to the Cairngorms and Lakeside happening every year.
There are a number of exchange opportunities for Senior School pupils, including Australia, Canada and Switzerland, as well as a new exciting link with a school in Maine, New England.
