Lathallan School take our green credentials seriously, and believe that teaching children about the environment helps encourage them to take responsibility for themselves and their surroundings.
We have a very active eco committee in both junior and senior parts of the school, and the nursery join in on many of our activities. The eco committee comprises of a pupil per class, who are voted in by their peers. There is a pupil chair of both the junior and senior school voted in by the Lathallan staff.
The Committe has it's own Eco Code, as well as eco noticeboards, an eco suggestion book and an eco web address.
Once a year we run an Eco Day where we invite local junior and senior schools to compete against each other in eco based challenges. Last year we competed in a plant art sculpture construction, quizzes, recycling challenge and debates on green issues.
